I find these women's ability to take the materials and work them until they are uniquely their own work -- and uniquely not North American. It's a testimony to the strength and creativity to be found wherever the opportunity exists. Thanks, Karen, for providing the opportunity. What a charming piece of folk art. I think this artist shows promise, and we will probably hear more of her.
