It is not easy to cme into an established group and yet, Florinda jumped in with both feet. She loved the idea of tulle and even when she melted it, kept going. I'm so proud of her.
i really like Florinda's quilt...The imagry is stricking and really draws you in to "hear" the story. I would really like to see this exhibit. Wonderful work you are doing with this fascinating group of women. I hope they continue to do their art work and share it with the larger world
Florinda's use of icons and desert imagery makes me miss the times we spent wintering in Arizona which is so enriched by Mexican culture. What is her story? I want to see more quilts by this artist.
Congratulations, Florinda has the gift of letting her quilt tell a story.
