Wish for the New Year
This year help me see the open doors that lie beyond my fears. Help me to believe in that small voice that whispers me towards my dreams. Let my newly found light of awareness become my beacon for those who hesitate in the wings.
(note: My photo is a window on a house in the countryside outside of Osh, Kyrgyzstan. It is not Kyrgyz but Russian. I loved it anyway.)
Amen, sister! Hope your wish comes true in 2010.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is amazing. The shapes remind me of early Kandinsky pictures. I guess they were painted in colors before. The rails inside remind me of Turkish fences. Strange. Makes me think of a life full of problems behind this window...
ReplyDeleteGayle, thanks! Eva, Actually the family who lives in the house with this window is quite happy. They are felt makers and work together. I hadn't thought of Kandinsky until you mentioned it. Thanks! Interesting that you would see a life full of problems behind the window. I'm sure the family has had their challenges. Don't we all?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that the family in this house is happy! My idea was because I heard that in the post-sowiet era, life is not easy, and these rails seem to be a protection against burglars.
ReplyDeleteThe story of the felt makers is interesting. Is their work to be seen anywhere?
Eva, I don't know if their story is written anywhere but I will share what I know. Give me a day to find the photos.
ReplyDeleteYour wish for the New Year is beautiful. And... at this point in time I am waiting in the wings... waiting to step out... still struggling with my fears but maybe a little less than before so...Thank you :) I will remember this.
