Red Shoes
When I stepped into Sheila's studio to get my professional head shot, she said, "Wow! Red shoes. I'm in the presence of a confident woman." I never thought that my wearing red shoes and especially these red shoes said nothing more than I like fun shoes. Of course, they also have to be comfortable and I hate spending lots of money (I got these from amazon.com for $35). Also in the quilt world, colorful shoes are not unusual. So my question to you is, "Do red shoes mean a confident woman?"

Red is my favorite color in clothes, as you know Karen. Red knit tops, red sweaters, red underwear, red shoes, red hoodies and coats, red purses, red belts, red footies and socks in the winter, and so much more. Red shoes are red shoes and nothing more.

Red is a color you get noticed in -- big time. Whether it's your shoes or your car. I think that wearing red means you are comfortable in your own skin and don't mind other people noticing you. I think that means you have a certain level of confidence -- and that is not negative.
ReplyDeleteRed is my favorite color and at this time in my life, I still wear fun clothes.
ReplyDeleteI like color and I like to wear bright fun accessories or clothing from Mexico. It's something in our blood! Lots of love, Martha D.
Absolutely LOVE those shoes!!!! Purchased recently??? Would buy them myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks! They are El Naturalista from Spain so you can get a pair too!
ReplyDeleteColored shoes, wild sox etc always evokes the thought that this person has an inner creative secret, even if they are shy or reserved, they know themsleves inside. If you were able to get these at $35, you were one lucky woman. I haven't found them for less then $80. Would like to though. Thanks for posting them they are very cool.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, Have you checked out Amazon? I think it helps that I have small feet (size 6). Hugs, Karen

ReplyDeleteI have a pair of red shoes, too, and I must admit that I feel confident when I wear them.
